About Pat Magrath With over 25 years of experience in the music industry, I’ve had the privilege of performing, recording, and teaching across a wide range of genres. As a professional drummer, I’ve worked alongside members of legendary acts like System of a Down, Slayer, and Van Halen, bringing my skills to stages and studios around the world. My career extends beyond performance—I’ve built a reputation as a trusted music consultant, stage manager, and educator, helping aspiring musicians at all levels unlock their potential. I’ve worked with drummers featured in renowned publications such as AP, Drum, and Modern Drummer Magazine and have helped students prepare for everything from auditions to professional gigs. As the former owner of a thriving rehearsal, recording, and video production studio in the Los Angeles area, I provided a dynamic space where creativity and growth flourish. Whether it’s coaching musicians for live performances or guiding them through recording sessions, I bring a hands-on, tailored approach to every project. My teaching philosophy focuses on meeting students where they are, building on their existing skills, and inspiring them to exceed their goals.
