Giuliano taught my 9 year old daughter. He was amazing! He understood straightaway how to approach her, making the lessons playful, creative and fun! She loved his classes and learning to play. at the end of each lesson she would make up her own compositions with Giuliano's encouragement. We miss Giuliano in London, but so lucky he continues to teach now online!

I met Giuliano when he was in London and he taught me at the beginning of my drumming journey. It's been great fun! He showed flexibility and support in his approach. We are still keeping in touch and I know I can count on him for advice.

I played with Giuliano in Lost Gravity from 2012 to 2025, so I’ve had the chance to see his playing up close for many years. We did a lot of live gigs together with click and backing tracks, and one thing I can definitely say is his timing is incredibly solid. He’s a reliable, experienced drummer who knows what the music needs.

He’s also a great teacher who knows how to explain things in a simple and practical way. I’ve seen him teach clinics and he spent seven years teaching at Drum Shack in London. What I like about his approach is he doesn’t just teach beats or exercises. He helps you practise better, improve your timing, and become a better musician overall.

I'm Eduardo and Giuliano and I have been very close friends since we were little kids. We grew up doing absolutely everything together, from hanging out and playing Sega on the weekends to eventually discovering heavy metal through my older brother, Rodrigo. That completely changed our lives. We became obsessed with the albums he showed us, started a band, and I have the incredible honor of being the very first person Giuliano ever played music with.
Even back then, his dedication was unmatched. I vividly remember us sitting on the bench in front of my house while he constantly tapped out rhythms on his legs. He took the drums so seriously from day one. Later on, while working full-time at a stage agency with his dad, he would still come home exhausted and practice for 1 to 2 hours every single night, eventually seeking out lessons with several different drummers across Brazil to perfect his craft.
Seeing the phenomenal professional drummer and teacher he has become makes me incredibly proud. Watching him take the massive step of leaving Brazil to build a life in London was huge, and he absolutely crushed it. He went on to earn a degree in drum performance and even became the main drum teacher at a highly respected London drum school. Giuliano knows firsthand the hard work, passion, and discipline it takes to master this instrument.

I highly recommend Giuliano to anyone wanting to learn the drums. We originally met back at our church, quickly becoming great friends, hanging out all the time, and playing live shows together with our different bands. When he eventually moved to London, I actually took over his drumming spot in the church band,and let me tell you, those were massive shoes to fill because he is an incredible musician.

Giuliano was my drum teacher for almost 12 months. He's a really nice guy. I learnt so much from him and he made the lessons really fun. During that time we covered grades 1 , 2, 3 and 4 of the Trinity Rock and Pop drum syllabus and I was awarded a distinction in all my examinations. He's a brilliant teacher. I couldn't recommend him more.

I started drum lessons with Giuliano when I was around 16 years old in Brazil. At that time, I had never played drums before, so I was really starting from zero.

He taught me all the basic things, rhythms, reading music, and how to play the drum kit. I also remember we worked with songs from bands that I liked, including Brazilian music, so the classes were always fun for me.

Giuliano had a lot of patience and always explained again when I didn't understand something. I don't play drums anymore today, but I have very good memories from this time and I learned a lot with him.

I had some drum classes with Giuliano when I was teenager in our church in Brazil. It was group classes with other young people from the church.

In this lessons I learned many important basics of drums, like how to hold the sticks correctly, reading music, rhythms and how to play on the drum kit. I remember that I could learn a lot in this period and this gave me a very good base to continue playing after.

I continued with drums and I still play in church today. Many things that I learned in the beginning with Giuliano helped me a lot to develop as drummer.

He is a very good teacher and I recommend him, especially for someone who is starting and wants to have a good foundation.

G takes the time and patience to teach students of all levels and in particular taught me about metric modulation. A concept that confused me for a while was broken down into smaller sections, which enabled me to understand. This one of many things G taught me.

I originally started lessons with Giuliano feeling quite nervous, but his kind and very patient approach instantly put me at ease. He has an amazing ability to simplify complex rhythms without ever making you feel overwhelmed or rushed when you struggle.

Now, after working with him over a longer period, I can confidently say he is one of the most knowledgeable and supportive teachers I’ve ever had. Giuliano knows exactly how to keep me challenged and motivated while keeping our lessons very enjoyable and without stress . He has helped me build real confidence behind the kit that I never thought I’d have. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

As a parent, I’ve been so impressed by the structure and quality of Giuliano’s teaching. He did more than just teach Laura how to hit the drums; he taught her proper techniques and rhythm control, and how to truly understand her instrument. The drummer Giuliano has always stood out in the music scene since he was a child. He has been playing drums at a professional level for more than 25 years, and has also worked as a drum teacher throughout this time.

He is extremely dedicated to studying, constantly improving his techniques, and is truly passionate about what he does. In addition to earning a degree in Music, he has taken private lessons with several teachers in order to continuously develop his technical skills, including the renowned Demetrios.

We played together for a period in the 1990s, performing Progressive Rock and Metal, and I can confidently say that Giuliano is a very calm, easygoing person and an excellent teacher. He has a great teaching approach that works well for everyone, from complete beginners to more experienced drummers.

Giuliano is an incredibly friendly teacher that I have had for 6 years. At the beginning, it was hard and I couldn't focus, so he made it a fun and enjoyable experience. He is a very knowledgeable and committed person. He is my favorite teacher out of all my teachers that I've had. He also recommends banger tracks.

Giuliano is just an awesome drum teacher. I had lessons with him at Drum Shack where is tutored me through Trinity College drums grades 4,5 and 6, each of which, with his help, I passed with a distinction. In Grade 6, during the pandemic where we had to change to online lessons, Giuliano taught me probably the hardest song we’ve learnt together, Caravan. He is an excellent teacher as he adapts to teach you in the most effective way while always remaining calm and cheerful, no matter how long it takes you to learn something. He is a brilliant drummer himself, being able to play anything put on the sheet in front of him.

Not only does Giuliano take the grades seriously, he also taught me loads of songs just for fun, like Basket Case by Green Day, and more recently Tom Sawyer by Rush. These songs both proved a challenge to me at first, but with Giuliano's help I can now play these songs flawlessly (most of the time ). Those are only two of the many fun songs Giuliano has taught me, from endless bands like Led Zepplin, Oasis, the Noisettes and many more.

Not only is Giuliano brilliant at teaching, but he is also an amazing person, and I consider myself so lucky to have had such a friendly, funny and encouraging teacher over our time a Drum Shack. Since he left to live in Spain, I continued to do lessons with him online, a great decision as we get to catch up, continue with grade 7 and have a good time from a distance. Giuliano also gets along really well with my dad, so they usually have a quick talk over the zoom call. I don’t think I could have had a better teacher than Giuliano, and would recommend him to anyone who wants to be a better drummer, whatever their level.
