About Jessie
Hello, I’m Jessie, a concert pianist and experienced piano teacher based in London, currently pursuing PhD research at Trinity Laban.
Alongside teaching, I regularly perform in recital and collaborative settings, including orchestral projects and conservatoire workshops. My performance work has taken me to venues across the UK, including the Barbican and Blackheath Halls, as well as China, continental Europe, and Australia.

In my teaching, I believe piano lessons should offer students a broad and solid musical education, not just preparation for the next piece or exam. Each lesson should help students make clear progress, work through challenges, and gradually build the skills, understanding, and confidence they need to grow as independent musicians. My aim is to develop strong foundations in technique, musicianship, listening, and interpretation, while also nurturing curiosity, discipline, and a genuine appreciation of classical music.
I work with children and adults at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced students preparing for ABRSM/LRSM exams, auditions, and university or conservatoire applications. Lessons are tailored to the individual, but always combine encouragement and imagination with clear guidance and high standards. I want students not only to enjoy learning, but also to develop healthy practice habits, musical awareness, and the ability to think and work independently.
As both a performer and teacher, I care deeply about thoughtful, honest, and serious musical training. My lessons are best suited to students who are genuinely interested in music and willing to engage consistently with the learning process. Whether the goal is personal enjoyment or more advanced study, I aim to create a warm, inspiring, and disciplined environment in which students can make steady and meaningful progress.
