About Gregory
I am a professional cellist with 15 years of performance and playing experience and 10 years of teaching experience. Having received a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Gettysburg College, I have had the privilege of teaching dozens of students innovative ways of approaching the art of playing the cello as well as violin, viola, and string bass. I maintain a consistent presence in my local music community through participation in community & collegiate orchestras, string ensembles, chamber groups, and special event performances throughout the central PA area.

My teaching style is based on applying concrete solutions to abstract technicalities. My philosophy is that all complex techniques are merely a combination of rudimentary motions that can be easily mastered through repetition. My lessons are structured around explanation and collaboration of ideas and topics to develop the student's ability to critically assess their own skill. We then implement effective practice strategies based on those concepts and evaluations.
