About Marcelo
I hold a university degree in Music with a background in classical training, and I have developed a solid trajectory on both double bass and electric bass. Throughout my studies, I trained with highly respected teachers in Brazil, both in classical and contemporary music, which allowed me to integrate technical rigor with musical flexibility.
Alongside my academic formation, I have extensive professional experience performing in a wide range of musical contexts. This combination of structured training and real-world stage experience shapes my teaching approach: organized, demanding, and directly applicable to practical musical situations. My goal is to help students become technically prepared, musically aware, and confident musicians, whether for personal development or professional ambitions.

Bass guitar and double bass lessons are structured to develop solid technical foundations, rhythmic awareness, and musical maturity, both in classical repertoire and in contemporary styles.
On double bass, the work includes posture, sound production, intonation, bow technique, music reading, and progressive technical training through established classical methods. For contemporary styles such as jazz and bossa nova, lessons focus on structured walking bass, applied harmony, line construction, rhythmic precision, and ensemble interaction.
On electric bass, the emphasis is on building a strong groove, efficient right- and left-hand technique, rhythmic accuracy, slap technique, improvisation, and practical application within repertoire. The goal is not only to play songs, but to develop autonomy, tonal identity, and musical confidence.
Lessons are personalized, with clear objectives and consistent guidance according to each student’s level and goals.
