About Rodrigo
I’m a professional 3D artist with over 15 years of experience working in the creative industry. I have had the opportunity to work on projects for international clients including Amazon, Warner Bros. and Netflix, with a particular focus on character art, modeling, sculpting and visual development.
I have been using Blender professionally for many years and have extensive experience solving the artistic and technical challenges that come with creating characters and compelling images in 3D.
As a mentor, I want to share the experience I have gained through professional work and help other artists develop both their Blender skills and their artistic eye. My lessons are relaxed, practical and tailored to each student's goals and level.
I speak English, French and Spanish, and I offer lessons entirely online.

My approach is based on personalized, hands-on mentoring rather than following a fixed curriculum. I believe the best way to learn Blender is by working on real projects and solving actual artistic and technical problems.
Teaching method and techniques
I adapt each lesson to the student's level, goals and current project. I usually work directly with the student's Blender file, sharing my screen and demonstrating techniques step by step. I explain not only how to achieve a result, but also why a particular approach works, so that the student can apply the same principles to future projects.
I can provide demonstrations, give feedback on the student's work, troubleshoot problems together and suggest alternative workflows when appropriate.
A typical lesson
There is no rigid lesson plan, as I prefer to adapt the session to the student's needs. A typical session might start by reviewing the student's current work and identifying the main areas that could be improved. We then work together on those issues, whether they involve sculpting, modeling, proportions, shapes, materials, lighting, rendering or presentation.
We finish by reviewing what was learned and, when appropriate, defining specific things for the student to work on before the next session.
What sets me apart
I am a professional digital and 3D artist, and my approach is strongly focused on character art and visual development. I am particularly interested in helping artists understand the artistic decisions behind a successful image or character, rather than simply teaching software features.
I also believe that personalized feedback is one of the most valuable things a mentor can provide. If you already have a Blender project that isn't working the way you want, you can bring it to the lesson and we can work through it together.
Who my lessons are for
My lessons are suitable for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced Blender users, particularly students, aspiring character artists, 3D artists and anyone interested in character modeling, sculpting and visual development.
The lessons can be conducted in English, French or Spanish.
