I love seeing my students progress and enjoy playing their instrument. The aspect of my job that I love the most is seeing how happy my students are when they have finally learnt a tricky song, passed their grade exam with flying colours or just really getting stuck in to their favourite tune. I really listen to my students aspirations and goals and with structured lessons, I get to follow that journey with them and the end result is very rewarding.
I started teaching music to inspire musicians – providing a blended mix of musical training and career development. Learning an instrument feeds the brain, aids personal development and is an outlet from everyday life. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience this.

Hi, I’m Georgie!
Based in Brighton, I have been teaching guitar and bass for over six years in schools and privately through my own company, Lykos Music Tuition.
Learning an instrument should be a fun and rewarding experience, meaning that every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, with regular check-ins to assess progress. I also provide custom practise routines with lesson reports and personalised resource folders to support students outside of lessons.
I believe that being active in the industry is important for any music tutor to ensure the content is accurate and current. I regularly compose, record and gig with my originals band and undergo session work around the UK. Music has always played a significant role in my life and achieving my degree in music really solidified my passion!
The ages I teach range from seven to seventy, which has help me build an impressive repertoire of material from Metallica to Little Mix. Whatever genre, technique, or song you wish you learn, I’m ready to teach it! Whether you want to study grades, hone your skills, or just learn your favourite songs, I am the teacher for you.

Georgie has been teaching me bass for a number of years now. I have made steady progress and enjoy the focus that she brings to her lessons. We are really glad to have found Georgie as a guitar teacher for our son. The zoom lessons work really well. Georgie quickly built a fantastic rapport with our son which results in relaxed yet productive lessons. Georgie provides a choice of challenging music pieces and also allows our son a certain input. This has a big impact on enjoyment and subsequently progress.
In order to help with guitar practice at home, Georgie offers to record parts of the lesson so our son can listen back to the music or advice.
