About Emer
I am a Professional Actor and Voiceover Artist with 5+ years of industry experience. I trained at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and with celebrated Meisner teacher, Scott Williams at the Impulse Company in London. As an actor I have worked on stage and on-screen with companies including the BBC and ITV.
Before training as an actor, I graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a First Class Honours in English Literature, so I have a firm grounding in literary analysis as well a breadth of classical texts. I will draw on this to help you mine scripts for meaning, ensuring you understand your character's motivations and language they use.
I've been in many audition rooms and I know how daunting it can feel. I am available as a coach and a mentor and friendly ear, working with you all the way to help you feel confident motivated and calm as you prepare.
I am also available for ongoing acting and public speaking coaching. I offer a bespoke, personal service than can always be tailored to your specific needs.

I am a warm and friendly teacher, and firmly believe that you get the best results from actors when they are feeling relaxed.
I will work with you in this way to build your confidence to find your unique artistic voice to showcase in an audition context. Firstly, I can help you find monologues if that's something you're struggling with. As a frequent theatre-goer I am always growing my list of good pieces for auditions!
I will then use my classical conservatoire training including voice and breath, movement, character and text analysis, as well as my industry experience to guide you towards a truthful, powerful performance. We can also look at ways to work with nerves when you're in the room to help you to feel your most confident self.
I trained in the Meisner technique with renowned teacher Scott Williams. I will draw upon this training to help you find immediacy and emotional truth in your given circumstances whilst always being 'in the moment'.
Drama school auditioners aren't looking for a finished product, or a perfect performance. They are interested in your unique capability to deliver your chosen pieces with simplicity and honesty, as well as how flexible and open you are to taking on new direction. My methods will help guide you to a place where you can harness the emotional power of your texts, whilst remaining open and responsive to new ideas.
