I would highly recommend Laurence as an acting teacher, having attended his audition technique classes last year. Laurence’s patience, dedication and perceptiveness make him an excellent teacher. He was adept at identifying anxieties that were holding me back and encouraged me to trust my instincts more, which helped to unlock greater truthfulness in my performance. Following my classes with Laurence I was offered a place on the MA Acting course at East 15 and the MA Acting course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Laurence’s guidance was integral not only to this audition process, but also to my overall understanding and appreciation of acting. I discovered Laurence through word of mouth from his weekly meisner classes in London, from here I took part in his very well priced 8 week audition prep course which helped to build the foundations of how to approach work technically and mentally. Laurence is kind and caring yet also expresses the truth when necessary which is very valuable in a teacher. I start my first term at LAMDA this September and I thank Laurence for helping me develop the skills that got me there.

Laurence has been pivotal in helping me get into drama school. I moved to the UK from Asia and the acting technique there is vastly different, Laurence helped me adjust to the acting style here but yet always encouraged me to keep my instincts and impulses. He always told me to be committed in my impulses without fear of judgement, and that has helped me a lot to grow as an actress and human. I highly recommend him and am forever thankful for the help he has given me which got me a scholarship in Rose Bruford BA acting.

I've trained with Laurence for a short while now, mainly to brush up my acting skills and to continue learning and training in between jobs. Laurence is nothing short of amazing, he definitely knows the craft inside out, he'will notice every little detail and pull you up on it in order to get the best out of your performance. Its these subtleties that make all the difference between an average performance and something that will leave a mark. Laurence is genuine, friendly, and will strengthen your weaknesses whether your new to acting or advanced. I'm off on my hols but as soon as im back we will resume sessions.
