I follow the strategy of first recognizing what my student knows about the topic and then taking him/her to the past events. Asking the students regarding their knowledge about the topic gives me an idea as to how i should go on with my lecture. My aim is to reach out to as many students as possible so that they don't lack knowledge about any specific topic.
