About Gaia

I am an 18-year-old girl from linguistic high school who gives lessons in Spanish and English, which is useful for both grammar and literature of both languages. if desired, I am also available for the subjects of Italian philosophy, history and literature.
I am a girl who does not have the classic passive teaching method from high school, I am awake, active, and above all understanding with a lot of patience. I have a great power to put people to whom I repeat at ease, because I tend to understand any apprehensive discomfort a boy may have.
I focus a lot on how people respond to my great positivity, because I believe that knowing how to teach a detached attitude does not encourage the love of study, which in schools is made to hate.
I am anything but severe or "bigot", rigidity precludes creativity.
also I don't have big demands with the price because exactly how flexible and understanding I am in class I am also with the prices, so I travel between 15 and 20 euros per hour

I have a methodology based on understanding the needs of the student *, respecting his limits without pressing or causing anxiety. I think stiffness is the worst way to help a * boy study. I stimulate creativity and passion for studying, and in fact I do not limit myself to the exercise itself but to make people understand what is also outside of that piece of paper on which a delivery is written.
I will never be the teacher that my teachers have been, I know what it means to despise knowledge because it was only passed as a verification / interrogation notion.
in particular with languages I am particularly comfortable teaching as a student of a linguistic high school. I don't limit myself to languages with grammar, but if necessary also with literature.
the subjects I refer to were subjects that I hated before studying them outside a school context, then I started to get passionate and that's how I decided to teach them.
today I am preparing a student of mine to leave on Erasmus in Spain, and after two Spanish lessons he already knows how to use most of the things that are studied in two years of linguistic high school.
teaching with a smile is my passion and mission. culture is everyone's right. without culture we would be nothing but cold automatons.
Another advantage of mine is that I am very friendly and my strength also lies in this: knowing how to be a teacher with whom you have a lot of fun learning. I know how to recognize the needs of students as performance anxiety or fear of teachers, and therefore I often also know how to help those who find themselves in difficult situations like these.
as a real method within a lesson I move in this way (in the case of a language lesson):
- academic quarter-hour (preparatory to establishing a bond of empathy with the tutor and that does not make the tutor feel the lesson anxiety, and also to really know how the tutor is doing)
- I start speaking in the required language
- structure a program for the lesson, then understand if the lesson is for a check, clarification, tasks to be carried out or revision of projects
- based on the work to be done I carry out the lesson trying to understand the needs and difficulties
all this structured with the Pomodoro method; or 30/15 min of lessons and then a break to help the brain remember all the notions learned.
- brainstorm the first 5 minutes of what was said in the previous half hour
- continuation of the lesson
- conclude with a further brainstorming
assign homework if necessary, not necessarily to be done at home but also to the next lesson.

my methodology may seem very classic, but it has a much more modern approach that focuses on exploiting and reinforcing notions that the student already possesses and encouraging in the apprehension of those he has not yet learned, instead of focusing only about what you don't know. by doing so I would look at the negative side discouraging the student, instead by doing so I would create a bond between study and student in a constructive and positive way
