About Reena
I consider myself to be a confident, knowledgeable teacher who has consistently achieved outstanding lessons. . I work to create a high-quality, stimulating learning environment that supports and challenge all pupils. I have over 5 years of experience as a primary school teacher and have been tutoring for 7 years. By successfully completing a Masters in Education alongside my PGCE which awarded me with Qualified Teacher Status, I have a strong understanding and flexibility of teaching pedagogies and I am able to confidently adapt my teaching to support the needs of my pupils.

I use responsive teaching methods where all strategies are adapted to the child's learning needs. I will initially assess my students needs and then plan lessons where my teaching will support pupils' gaps. Through regular questioning, modelling, variation and carefully designed tasks, I work to ensure children make progress. In addition to this, my lessons provide regular opportunities to review previous material and assessment points at later dates to ensure children remember previous learning and make connections to apply methods to new learning.
My lessons are for children aged 5-11 in English, Maths and Phonics. I am flexible and can cover other Primary subjects such as science if needed. I also tutor and support children in their preparation for Eleven Plus examinations. The typical length of a lesson is 60 mins, depending on the subject.
