About Lucy
I’m a passionate teacher who genuinely loves learning and most importantly, sharing that passion with others.
I’ve always been a bit of a bookworm and read every night without fail! I particularly enjoy children’s books too, which means I’m always discovering new favourites to recommend to my learners and finding ways to make reading exciting and enjoyable.
I also love travelling and have been lucky enough to visit over 40 countries. Working abroad gave me the opportunity to explore different cultures and see more of the world, which has continually inspired my curiosity and love of learning. I enjoy bringing this enthusiasm and sense of adventure into my teaching.
When I’m not teaching or travelling, you’ll usually find me crafting or sewing. I’m a naturally creative person and love finding creative ways to make learning engaging, memorable and relevant.

Teaching approach:
I build strong professional relationships with learners so I can tailor lessons to their individual ability, interests and learning style. I use modelling, guided practice and practical opportunities to develop key skills before applying them to problem-solving and real-life examples.
Lesson length:
Typically 60 minutes, adapted to suit the age and needs of each child.
Qualifications & experience:
4-year teaching degree, including a Master’s specialising in Reading for Pleasure. 5 years’ teaching experience in leading international schools.
Who I teach:
Children aged 4–11, covering all areas of the primary curriculum.
Specialism:
SATs preparation, helping children build subject knowledge, confidence and effective exam techniques.
