Initial consultation and first few sessions involve extensive rapport building and observational data taking through formative assessment to provide a solid foundation to design individual learning plans that target all needs.
My strategies are very heavily surrounded by positive reinforcement methods that make learning a fun experience. I also work with discrete trial teaching to develop skills in children that aren't explicitly academic - it could be as simple as learning to tie their shoes or asking for help.
