About Kate
I'm a qualified Teaching Assistant with an Enhanced DBS certificate and four years of experience supporting children in both mainstream and SEN settings, including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. I have a genuine passion for maths and enjoy helping children build their confidence and understanding in a calm, supportive environment. I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each student's individual needs and pace, making maths engaging, accessible, and enjoyable. My goal is to help every student develop the skills, confidence, and positive mindset they need to succeed in maths.

I am a qualified Teaching Assistant with an Enhanced DBS certificate and four years of teaching and SEN experience, supporting children with a range of additional needs, including learning and cognition and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). I tutor Primary and KS3 maths and genuinely enjoy helping students develop their understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Every lesson is tailored to each student's individual needs, learning pace, and goals.
I understand that many children find maths challenging or feel anxious about it. My calm, patient, and encouraging approach helps create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. My aim is to reduce maths anxiety, build confidence, and help every student realise that they can succeed and even enjoy maths.
