About Megan
I am offering English literacy lessons to children currently working at KS1 or KS2 level.
I want to build and nurture confidence in your learning so that you are able to tackle problems independently. I can describe myself as friendly, enthusiastic and respectful.
In my career, I have taught across a range of year groups which has given me a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and learning development. It is vital that children build a deep understanding of the concepts that they learn.
I teach all aspects of the English language in relation to spelling, punctuation and grammar. I achieve this by basing lessons on the content of writing using a range of genres from creative writing to information texts. This ensures that learning remains exciting but can also be applied to real life experiences in order to build cultural capital. If reading is something you would like support with, I am experienced in teaching phonics and will focus on the skills needed to successfully comprehend a text.

I ensure that I nurture a love for learning whilst ensuring progression in attainment. I have a first class honours degree in Primary Education as well as a PGCE. I have studied teaching for 4 years and I have had my own class for a year. I can teach ages 3-11, with specialisms in Key Stage 2.
