About Harrison
I have been teaching saxophone for over 14+ years, working with students from school to college. For me, teaching is more than just lessons—it’s about sharing the joy and emotion of music. I focus on creating a supportive and inspiring environment where every student feels encouraged to explore and grow.
Over the years, I have guided students through recitals, competitions, and exams, celebrating every milestone as a shared achievement. My teaching emphasizes technique, rhythm, and musical expression, but I also encourage creativity and personal style. Seeing students progress from their first note to confident performances fills me with immense pride.
My goal is to help each student not only master the saxophone but also develop a lifelong love for music and the confidence to express themselves through it.

My saxophone teaching method follows a clear step-by-step structure. I begin with breathing techniques, posture, embouchure formation, and sound production. Once students are comfortable, we move to scales, articulation, rhythm exercises, and song performance.
Motivation is very important in my classes. I encourage students by recognizing their improvement and setting realistic short-term goals. I maintain open communication so students feel comfortable discussing their difficulties.
Integrity guides my teaching style. I give honest feedback and ensure students build strong fundamentals before moving to advanced techniques. Creativity is included through improvisation practice and experimenting with different tones and dynamics.
Besides saxophone, I also teach music theory, ear training, rhythm counting, and basic keyboard skills to strengthen musical understanding. My aim is to create confident and technically strong saxophone players.
