About Ari
I am in my second year of my pre-med journey at Cal Poly SLO! I have been online tutoring (privately) since the start of college. In addition to online tutoring, I also work as a lab assistant in a Molecular Bio lab where I assist the teacher and students with whatever they may need, whether that's explaining concepts or walking through specific lab procedures. I have experience working with kids of all ages through my summer camp counselor position. I've taken a variety of Biology and Math courses at Cal Poly and have a strong foundation in both of these areas. In high school, I took AP Biology, Honors Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, and Algebra 2. I was able to pass my AP test for Statistics and took an upper division course at Cal Poly just last year, so the concepts are still fresh in my mind!

At the start of our lesson, I will take your problem area and work through a model on what strategies to use in order to tackle the concept. After the model, we will talk through the math/science problem together - I'll set it up with the different steps and refer back to the problem throughout the entire lesson. To be able to reinforce the concept, we will review it several times, eventually landing into independent practice with my supervision. In addition, I will also provide practice exams or worksheets, if needed. I want to make a connection with you, not just simply tutor you! It has to be fun in order for the concept to stick to your brain :)
