About Eva
I focus on helping students develop a deep understanding of maths rather than simply memorising methods. This allows them to approach challenging problems adaptively and perform effectively under timed conditions, with regular feedback used to identify weaknesses and improve confidence.
I have experience teaching both Higher and Foundation students, ensuring lessons are paced appropriately to suit their individual needs. In addition, I teach A-Level Maths and Further Maths, including FS1 and D1 modules. I guide students to investigate patterns and question underlying concepts, helping them develop the critical thinking skills that are essential for excelling in maths at all levels. I also support students transitioning from GCSE to A-Level by breaking down challenging concepts in a way that best suits the individual learner.
Once students have a secure grasp of the core content, I place emphasis on exam technique and structured problem-solving, helping them maximise marks and approach questions strategically under exam conditions.

During the lessons I aim to focus on developing my students' understanding. I do this by allowing them to take lead in tackling challenging questions, and subtly directing them to the answer. This allows me to know exactly where students are going wrong, and results in me providing more accurate feedback. I will of course listen to my students and help them with any concerns they have, whether its regarding certain topics, or specific exam techniques. I understand that many students find maths overwhelming especially during independent study, hence why I will dedicate a portion of our lessons to go through any issues they found in their homework (whether its set by me or their school) and ensure any errors are not repeated. And lastly, I will always give students the best advice I can offer. Ultimately my goal is to help them achieve the best grades possible and to feel more comfortable in their mathematical ability.

Eva has helped me so much through my GCSE time as I finish Year 11! I want to say a big thank you to her, and because of her, I have improved a lot through her support. She also used a lot of good examples to help me understand math concepts, which was really helpful as someone who is slow at maths.

Having been her best friend for nearly seven years, I can confidently say that she creates a warm, welcoming, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.
Eva has personally helped me improve in Maths during a time when I was severely underperforming at GCSE. Through her patience, clear explanations, and step by step approach, she was able to simplify topics that I previously found overwhelming. She never made me feel embarrassed for struggling; instead, she calmly guided me through each method until I fully understood it.
Her knowledge extends beyond GCSE level into A Level Mathematics, and this allows her to explain concepts with depth while still making them accessible. I have no doubt that any student tutored by Eva would not only improve their grades, but also develop a much stronger understanding of Maths overall, provided they are willing to put in the effort. She is supportive, knowledgeable, and committed, and I would highly recommend her as a tutor.I've known Eva for many years as a fellow student and have gotten to see her incredible abilities as a teacher. She helps break problems down into easy-to-understand concepts and techniques. What I like most about her teaching is how she ensures I understand methods thoroughly by asking me follow-up questions to test my understanding. She's super friendly, so I'm not afraid to make mistakes, and when I do, she goes through them with me so I learn from them.
