About Heidi
I am a first year human biology B.S. major at UCSD and I tutored all through middle and high school in primarily biology and chemistry. I completed both GCSEs and IB diplomas at the top 10% of my class. For IB, I graduated with 7's in Higher Level Biology, Mathematics: Applications and Interpretations, and Standard Level History and scored all three core points (B in EE on Biology, A in TOK). I want students to enjoy STEM subjects but understand they are more challenging for some which is what I am here for. I am flexible with my schedule and am willing to work weekends if that is what you need; just let me know and I am happy to accomodate.

Hi! My name is Heidi and I am a pre-med college student at UC San Diego. My schedule is fairly flexible to book a time that is convenient for you and the duration of the session is dependent on how much work you would like to put in. I have a lot of experience in developing independent study methods that are translated into my tutoring methods. For revision and test preparation, my lesson plan generally includes review slides that I'll prepare based on your target subject and going over past assignments or practice problems. In the long-term, I will start to assign the review slides as work for you to bring in for me to understand where there are still gaps in your understanding. I can also provide support in homework and assignments such as essays (of course depending on the limit of external support you are allowed to receive). My strengths are in biology (specifically human physiology and genetics), general chemistry, Math up to pre-calculus, English literature (in particular plays and poetry), and World History (I've studied both world wars, civil wars in China and Spain, US history from 1920-1980s, and Western European history).
