My Approach as a Tutor
As a pre-med student with four years of intensive, biology-focused coursework, my teaching is rooted in genuine subject mastery and a passion for making science understandable. I believe every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand each individual's strengths, challenges, and learning style before diving in.
Teaching Methods & Techniques
I use a combination of visual aids, real-world analogies, and step-by-step breakdowns to simplify complex topics. Rather than just giving answers, I guide students through the thinking process so they develop problem-solving skills they can apply independently. I encourage questions at every step — no question is too small or too basic.
A Typical Lesson Plan
My lessons are fully personalized. Before each session, I review the student's current coursework, whether that's their lecture notes, textbook chapters, or upcoming assignments. From there, I build a structured lesson around what they actually need. A typical session includes a brief review of previous material, introduction or deepening of new concepts, practice problems or guided discussion, and a quick wrap-up with action steps for next time. I can also dedicate sessions entirely to helping with specific assignments, lab reports, or test prep.
What Sets Me Apart
Beyond my academic background, I bring real patience and a natural ease with young learners. I have hands-on experience working with kids and understand how to adjust my communication style depending on the age and confidence level of each student. I don't take a one-size-fits-all approach — every session is built around you.
