About Ananya
I am a dedicated college student on the pre-med track with a strong background in math and science and experience working with students in academic settings. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to create a comfortable and supportive environment where they can ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence.
I have experience tutoring and mentoring students, which has taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and adapting explanations to each student's needs. My goal is not just to help students complete their assignments, but to make sure they truly understand the material and develop study habits they can use independently.
I take every lesson seriously and come prepared with a positive attitude, organized explanations, and a willingness to work at the student's pace. Whether a student needs help with a challenging concept, homework, test preparation, or simply wants to strengthen their skills, I am committed to providing reliable and personalized support.
Most importantly, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they started. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, difficult subjects can become much more manageable.

My approach as a tutor is to make learning feel less overwhelming and more approachable. I focus on understanding how each student learns best and then adjust my teaching style to fit their needs. I like to break difficult concepts into smaller, easier-to-understand steps and use examples, practice problems, and real-life connections to make the material more meaningful.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what the student already knows and identifying any areas they are struggling with. From there, I explain the concept step-by-step, work through examples together, and then have the student try problems independently while I provide guidance when needed. I also like to end lessons with a short review of the main concepts so the student leaves knowing exactly what they learned and what they should continue practicing.
What sets me apart is my patience and ability to explain concepts in different ways. If something doesn't make sense the first time, I won't simply repeat the same explanation—I will find another way to approach it. As a pre-med college student with tutoring experience, I understand that challenging subjects can feel intimidating, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
My lessons are best suited for elementary, middle, and high school students who need support in subjects such as math, science, biology, and chemistry. I can also work with students who want help preparing for tests, completing homework, strengthening foundational skills, or becoming more confident in a subject.
