About Leona
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Linguistic Studies and have 7 years of teaching experience. My passion for Spanish comes from cultural exploration and communication practice. I enjoy helping students build confidence in speaking and understanding Spanish culture. Every learner has unique goals, and I guide them individually.
My teaching style is structured, supportive, and communication-focused. I focus on real-world usage instead of memorization-heavy learning. Lessons are adapted to each student’s pace and needs. I believe confidence grows through consistent speaking practice and encouragement.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring Spanish films, music, and cultural traditions. These experiences help me bring authentic context into lessons. I continuously refine my teaching methods to improve outcomes. My goal is to help students communicate confidently and naturally in Spanish.

My Spanish lessons focus on helping students use the language naturally in real-life communication. I begin with pronunciation training, verb conjugation patterns, grammar foundations, sentence construction, and essential vocabulary building. Students also practice listening comprehension through guided dialogues and short interactive speaking tasks. Each concept is explained step by step so learners can understand clearly and without stress. My focus is always on practical communication skills.
As students progress, lessons include conversation practice, travel situations, role-play exercises, cultural discussions, and storytelling activities. I also introduce idiomatic expressions and everyday spoken Spanish used by native speakers. Writing practice helps improve grammar accuracy and sentence flow. Students are encouraged to speak often to build confidence. Mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning and improvement.
Advanced learners focus on fast response speaking, complex grammar structures, native-speed listening, and real-world communication practice. I also support exam preparation and relocation needs. My goal is to help students think in Spanish and speak naturally without translating in their mind.
