About Delaney
Hello! My name is Laney, and I am a Special Education Instructional Assistant with several years of experience working in both school and childcare settings. I have also worked as a paraprofessional and as a special needs caregiver, supporting children with a wide range of learning, communication, and developmental needs.
I am passionate about helping parents feel confident and supported as they navigate raising autistic and neurodivergent children. My goal is to provide practical, real-world strategies that are easy to understand and can be used in everyday life at home, school, and in the community. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where families feel heard, respected, and empowered.

My teaching approach is practical, supportive, and based on real-life experience working with children in special education and childcare settings. I focus on breaking information into simple, easy-to-understand steps and giving parents strategies they can use immediately at home.
A typical session includes a short explanation of the topic, real-life examples, and practical strategies or tools parents can try. I also provide time for questions and discussion so families can apply what they learn to their own situations.
What sets me apart is my hands-on experience as a Special Education Instructional Assistant, Paraprofessional, and special needs caregiver. I have worked directly with children of different ages and support needs, which allows me to share realistic, everyday strategies rather than theory alone.
These lessons are designed for parents and caregivers of autistic and neurodivergent children, as well as those with other special needs. The focus is on beginner-friendly, practical support for home routines, communication, behavior, and social skill development.

Delaney was my assistant teacher at the Vine School. We serviced students of all ages with all different learning differences, including autism. She is very good with children of all ages.
