About Darrel
I am an autistic and ADHD adult, an amputee and the founder of NeuroHub UK. My work is grounded in lived experience, but it is not based on lived experience alone.
Through NeuroHub, I support neurodivergent adults with the patterns beneath overwhelm, avoidance, burnout, communication difficulties and inconsistent performance. I am also Co-Founder of NLX, contribute accessibility insight through an inclusive-travel advisory role and serve as an EDI Officer in a live sporting environment. I hold training in Equality and Diversity and am currently completing an ILM Level 6 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
My approach is calm, structured and honest. I listen carefully, but I will not simply agree with everything you say or give you a motivational speech. We look at what keeps repeating, what the current environment is asking you to carry and what can realistically change.
A verified student review describes my sessions as insightful and practical, with empathy, care and a useful toolkit of strategies.
I provide coaching and mentoring, not psychotherapy, diagnosis, crisis support or medical treatment. If another form of support would be more appropriate, I will say so clearly.

This advert is for broader coaching work rather than help with a single task or study routine.
Sessions may focus on:
• recognising patterns behind burnout or repeated overwhelm
• emotional regulation and recovering after difficult days
• boundaries, expectations and difficult conversations
• rebuilding routines after a period of disruption
• making decisions when several needs conflict
• understanding the effect of environment, energy and sensory load
• preparing for change at work or home
• turning insight into sustainable action
We usually begin with one current situation and examine what is happening around it. We separate what is within your control, what needs communicating and what may require a different form of support. You will leave with clearer priorities and a small number of realistic actions.
Sessions are collaborative and paced to your capacity. I will not impose a one-size-fits-all productivity system.
The free 30-minute conversation is used to understand what you want support with, explain my scope and decide whether we are a suitable fit. It is not a coaching, therapy or crisis-support session. Deeper planning and personalised recommendations begin in paid sessions.

Perfect! I'm finding my sessions with Darrel insightful and extremely helpful. He brings a great toolkit of strategies and suggestions that really support me in navigating situations I sometimes find challenging as someone who is neurodiverse. He communicates with empathy, care, and clarity, which makes it easy to open up and apply what we discuss.
- strengths:Darrel's response :
Rosa is very self-aware and already has a number of positive routines in place, such as journaling, exercise, and therapy. She communicates clearly, reflects deeply on her experiences, and is open to feedback, which creates a strong foundation for meaningful progress.
Areas to improve:
The main focus moving forward is not awareness, but implementation. Rosa would benefit from clearer structures at work and at home that provide feedback, momentum, and emotional reinforcement. Developing simple systems to contain difficult days and prevent emotional spirals will likely make a significant difference.

I cannot recommend Darrel highly enough. If you’re considering working with him, give him a try, you won’t be disappointedDarrel has a natural ability to help people look at situations differently and get beyond the surface of a problem.
His approach isn’t about telling someone what they should do or giving them all the answers. Instead, he asks the right questions, challenges assumptions and helps people work through situations for themselves, building confidence in their own decisions along the way.
One of his real strengths is recognising that everyone thinks, communicates and processes information differently. He adapts his approach to the individual rather than expecting the individual to adapt to him, creating an environment that feels supportive, patient and non-judgemental.
He is particularly good at taking situations that feel complicated or overwhelming and breaking them down into something clearer and more manageable. Importantly, he is also willing to challenge someone when needed rather than simply telling them what they want to hear.
I would highly recommend Darrel to anyone looking for an approachable and thoughtful coach who will genuinely listen, challenge their thinking and help them find a way forward that works for them.Darrel is a dedicated and highly organised History teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential.
