About Sophie
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Glasgow, I have experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Geography and Earth Sciences across a broad range of subjects. I also have experience tutoring for A level and on field trips for Secondary/high school students, as well as early-years and primary students in Environmental/outdoor education. So I am happy to provide lessons for all levels/experience - the key thing for me is to get people excited about the world we live in!

Geography and environmental sciences are rooted in understanding the real world, so my approach is to expand students' breadth of experience by focusing on case studies and using these as a tool to get to grips with key concepts. Not only is this more engaging, but it also offers a key resource for preparing for essay and exam writing, whether that's for this year or a few years time, I think it's important to get into the habit of using evidence to support your points as early as possible!
