About Sam
I am someone who struggled through my GCSE's and discovered during my A-Levels that I had a passion for politics and sociology. A few years later I graduated from Durham University with First in sociology, which was a huge improvement compared to my grades at GCSE.
My specific interest at University was the ways in which young people, like myself, are often not taught in the correct way and therefore struggle at a young age. My teaching aims to address this issue and prevent intelligent young people from reaching their full potential.

My lessons are founded in a strong theoretical understanding of the core materials, pitched at an introductory level for students that need to gain a foundational understanding of their A-Level course. To me, learning how to think critically is the most crucial step in tackling exams and essays.
I have previous experience in the charity sector, working with young adults in an educational setting. I am currently studying the sociology of education at the Institute of Education, the world's leading education research institution.
