About Sebastian
I have a scholarship in audiovisual media at the Politecnico Grancolombiano, with 5 years of work experience in photography of events, institutional and reportage, informative video, interviews, institutional and documentary for companies and entities such as Semana Magazine and City Hall of Bogotá. My portfolio and work are aimed at covering social protests, important events around politics, sports and current affairs in Bogotá.

My name is Sebastián Barros, a student of documentary photography and freelance photo-reporter with two years of experience in social protests, political events and documentary photography in Colombia, covering events such as the national strike of 2018 and 2019, the call to investigate Alvaro Uribe , the popular election of the first mayor LGTB and Women in Bogotá; Claudia López and the arrival of Egan Bernal, winner of the Tour de France to Colombia, among other important events in areas such as sports, art, politics and leisure. In this class you will see theoretical and practical modules that will address the following topics: Theory: - The composition - The handling and modes of the camera - The importance of visual narrative Practicality: - Practical safety equipment for coverings. - How to choose from the photographic equipment that we already have or what we should look at in which we are going to buy. - Recommendations for field work. - How to properly accredit for a closed event (Concerts, galleries, forums, fairs, among others). - The importance of exposure and automated camera modes in situations of rapid reaction such as riots or sporting events. - Software and classification for the development and treatment of RAW, DNG or JPG images - How to take advantage of stock photography to generate an income from the coverings This course is aimed at photographers with basic knowledge in photography with DSLR and editing on the Adobe platform Lightroom, where the entire organization, development and finalization section of our images is developed.
