About Gifah
I study languages and approach them through immersion and real-life use. I am preparing to move to Germany to take on another European language and culture head-on. I learned my first foreign language, Portuguese, in five months through self-directed study and daily practice, which shaped the way I now help others learn languages naturally and confidently.
My academic background is in political science with a focus on pre–international law, and I am especially interested in how language shapes diplomacy, understanding, and global dialogue. I have experience working with children as well as adults, and I believe meaningful communication begins when people are willing to meet each other in their own language. My goal as a tutor is not only to teach languages, but to support connection, perspective, and confidence across cultures.

My teaching is conversation-based and inspired by real-life immersion. As a polyglot with European teaching and study-abroad experience, I help students learn languages naturally through speaking, listening, and cultural context rather than memorization alone. I often draw connections between languages to make learning feel more intuitive and less overwhelming, with a strong focus on confidence and comfort when speaking.
Each lesson is adapted to the student’s level and goals. A typical session includes a relaxed warm-up conversation, practical vocabulary and expressions used in daily life, guided speaking practice with gentle corrections, and cultural insights drawn from real situations. Lessons are structured but flexible, allowing conversation to develop naturally while still providing clear direction and progress.
What sets me apart is my fluency in more than five languages(English, Portuguese, Italian, French, Spanish and German(A1)). My lived international experience. I studied abroad in Europe and learned languages in real environments — sometimes literally running past the Colosseum to make it to class on time. I understand what it feels like to use a language outside the classroom and support students in moving from studying to confidently speaking in everyday situations.
My lessons are suitable for teens and adults, from beginner to advanced levels. They are especially helpful for students whose native tongue is Portuguese or Italian. Great for travelers, study-abroad students, au pairs, and expats, as well as learners who want to improve conversational fluency in a calm, low-pressure environment. Lessons are offered online and tailored to each student’s pace and personal goals.
