About Matthew
I'm a recent graduate with a postgraduate degree in international security and an undergraduate degree in history and politics.
I grew up most of my life in Malaysia and have family there, giving me interesting experiences and access to cultures that have helped shape my understanding of the world.
I was also lucky enough to have tutors help me study for my GCSEs and A-levels, so I understand how to provide similarly useful lessons for you.
Reading texts on theology, history, literature, politics, amongst many other subjects, along with creative writing are my passion, and I enjoy connecting the dots between such subjects, which I hope can be of use to your learning.

I will first ascertain how much of the syllabus the student understands, and then go through the themes that need shoring up.
Then we'll move onto exam techniques, with some practice questions. Once we've progressed far enough, I'll provide past papers for the student to practise. Afterwards, I'll mark the paper and provide constructive feedback, going over any incorrect answers or answers that could be improved.
As I'm sure many humanities students already know, the exam is quite formulaic, with each question on each paper possibly being any one of a fairly limited set of questions. Additionally, longer answers are marked based on a criterion, such as PEEL. I can ensure students understand this formula as well as the possible questions that can arise, therefore preparing them for all possible exam scenarios.
