About Lucy
With 13 years of experience in teaching and professional work, I have dedicated my career to helping students explore the world of drumming with confidence and excitement. I teach students from school to college levels, and I believe that every learner can grow when they receive clear guidance and positive support. My love for drumming started early, but it became a true passion when I realised how powerful music education can be. One milestone that stands out in my journey was training a student who had never touched a drum before but later performed at a college fest with great skill. Witnessing such transformations reminds me why teaching is meaningful. I have also conducted rhythm workshops where large groups of students discovered their interest in drumming for the first time. My teaching style is simple, organised, and full of motivation. I focus on core techniques such as timing, beat structure, hand coordination, and tempo control. I use slow demonstrations, real-song examples, and guided practice sessions that help learners improve step by step. I also encourage them to build discipline through regular practice while still enjoying the learning process. I believe music is not just about sound—it is about expression, confidence, and creativity. Through my lessons, I hope to help students build not only technical skill but also the joy of playing. Teaching drum continues to inspire me every day, and I feel proud to support young learners in discovering their musical journey.

My teaching methodology for Drums is built on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I believe that learning drums should be simple, enjoyable, and full of expression. My lessons are designed to help students gain confidence, rhythm control, and musical understanding. Motivation keeps students moving forward. I make lessons exciting by adding short challenges, musical games, and goal-based practice. This helps students stay focused and celebrate their progress along the way. Communication is essential in my teaching. I give clear instructions, show each step slowly, and make sure students fully understand before moving on. I use simple English and provide real-life examples to make learning easier and more meaningful. Integrity allows me to create a respectful and honest learning environment. I offer feedback that is helpful, kind, and clearly explained. I guide students with patience and support, making sure they learn the right techniques from the beginning. Creativity brings out the joy in drumming. I encourage students to try new grooves, create their own patterns, and experiment with styles like pop, rock, blues, and funk. I also teach simple theory, rhythm reading, coordination drills, and timing exercises. Besides Drums, I can teach percussion basics, rhythm training, tempo control, and music foundation skills that help students grow into complete musicians.
