About Sarah
I am a BEd Primary Education Graduate and a Qualified Teacher and supply teacher with current DBS checks, specialising in music however I have been trained and have experience across all primary school subjects including phonics and early reading as well as supporting for SATs. I have experience in multiple schools across Devon, working in all primary year groups.

I have a varied experience teaching and supply teaching which are based upon planning lessons in order to progress children understanding and knowledge of the primary curriculum. I offer an elicitation task to begin with which highlights areas in which children are struggling with before progressing forward to teach certain areas/topics in order to gain a confident understanding. The child's progress is then monitored throughout the series of lessons which offers parents the chance to see clear progress and areas in which they can support the child. It also highlights any further gaps or areas needing more attention for myself as a tutor which ensure that the child makes maximum progress. I can offer parents resources and explanations should they wish to support their child further also. Additionally parents are offered to sit in and observe tutoring in order to feel confident in supporting their child outside of the tutoring session.
I prefer face to face tuition at the parents house in order to see if a child fully understands a concept and how engaged they are but also to ensure that the child is in a comfortable environment to learn at their greatest potential. I am also happy to send and mark work over email as I know some parents prefer this.
My sessions are £15 per hour per child. I am happy to conduct sessions for small groups of children of up to 5 children max.
