About Ivy
With 11 years of experience, I teach guitar and band performance at all levels. I hold a Bachelor of Music Education (Guitar Focus) and specialize in ensemble coaching. Lessons cover arranging covers, composing originals, and collaborative playing. I help students start bands, perform live, and record demos. Technical skill, timing, and musical expression are key focuses. I teach jazz, blues, classical, acoustic, electric, and bass guitar. My approach combines structured practice with creative exploration. Students develop confidence in both solo and group settings. Improvisation and performance techniques are integral parts of my lessons. I encourage students to discover their own musical voice. Ensemble skills, teamwork, and stage presence are emphasized.
