About Samuel
With 5 years of piano teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Piano Emphasis, I’m passionate about making piano accessible and fun for everyone. I especially enjoy working with neurodiverse learners, including students with ADHD and learning differences. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons using movement, visual aids, and interactive apps to keep learning engaging and effective. My teaching style is friendly and flexible, focusing on creating a playful and meaningful experience at the piano. Whether you’re a child or an adult, beginner or advanced, I tailor each lesson to fit your unique needs and goals. My teaching approach to piano is both creative and structured, designed to help students express themselves through music. I focus on important areas like composition basics, music storytelling, harmonic analysis, and adding emotional touch to performances. Each lesson combines technical skills with artistic development to create a well-rounded musician.
I work closely with jazz pianists and classical performers, tailoring lessons to their unique styles and goals. For jazz students, improvisation and harmony play a big role. Classical students deepen their understanding of technique and musical expression. I encourage active listening and thoughtful practice to bring out each student’s personal voice.
Lessons include theory and hands-on playing, helping students connect what they learn to real music. I support learners in mastering difficult pieces while exploring their creativity. The goal is to build confidence and a strong musical foundation. With patience and clear guidance, students grow both technically and emotionally. Together, we unlock the full potential of your piano journey.
