About Matea
I am an aspiring future piano student with 12 years of strong musical background; including piano, theory, ensemble playing, and choir.
I've been giving piano lessons for the last two years, from little children to young adults, who have shown great results and a quick understanding of the given curriculum.
I currently teach and prepare students for exams and concerts, at the Music school in Zagreb, Croatia.

I would put an emphasis on mindfulness in my teaching. However, I expect great focus and hard work from my students when they prepare from class to class. I approach each topic with a strong understanding of student's abilities and needs and always put them into the thought that everything is possible with a strong will and hard work. Because I was thought like that, my principle is to encourage my students that mistakes are allowed, as long as they are aware of them, and as long as they know how to set them into place. In order to have a clear head for a successful lesson, I like to spend the first five minutes on relaxation and mindfulness from the stressful day, after which we dive into a beautiful world of music-making. Among other methodologies, I teach specifically Thompson methodology, which is a methodology where students apply the knowledge learned in class quicker and better, which proved to be beneficial for them.
