About Olivia
I have an undergraduate degree in Visual Arts, Music and French. My graduate degree is in interdisciplinary design. I received lessons for 10 years, and enjoy playing at a NYSSMA level of 6. I have taught mostly beginner students between the ages of 5 and 12, so I really enjoy giving students a start to piano.

My teaching methods are mostly focused on how to keep students captivated with piano. Some students I've gotten to compose music while practicing through lessons, to students who prefer playing and learning pop or jazz tunes rather than classical works. I am very comfortable and familiar with the Suzuki method, but I always enjoy improvising during my lessons.

I know Olivia personally as we are family. She has lots of experience and great reviews from working with children. She is very kind, patient, and is a highly motivated teacher. Her bilingualism is beyond university level courses.
When we had a babysitting business together, she was highly praised by the parents of the child and felt very comfortable with her. We were both raised speaking only English, so she understands the challenges that a second language learner might face.
If you are looking for a teacher with expertise and who will be very considerate and thoughtful towards your child's or your own needs, she will be a great fit for you.View more recommendations
