About Wee
I have over 9 years of experience teaching piano to college students, helping them develop both technical mastery and a strong sense of musical expression. My teaching style is flexible and student-centered, tailored to each learner’s goals, strengths, and pace. I combine traditional techniques with creative approaches such as improvisation exercises, composition projects, and blending classical and contemporary music, making lessons interactive, engaging, and fun.
I focus on building technical skill, theory understanding, sight-reading, rhythm, and performance readiness while encouraging students to explore their own creativity and musical voice. I aim to create a motivating and supportive environment where students feel confident, challenged, and inspired. My ultimate goal is to help students not only master the piano but also enjoy music as a lifelong passion, express themselves confidently, and achieve their personal performance goals.

My teaching methodology for piano is creative, supportive, and student-centered. I aim to guide students as a mentor while helping them become independent musicians.
Creativity is central to my lessons. Students explore different songs, experiment with improvisation, and play music in ways that inspire them. This makes lessons fun and encourages personal expression.
As a critical thinker, I help students understand music deeply. I explain rhythm, scales, chords, hand coordination, and musical expression in a simple, practical way. Students learn to solve challenges and improve their playing step by step.
Accountability is built through structured goals and practice plans. I help students develop consistent practice habits and review progress regularly to ensure steady improvement.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, keyboard coordination, and basic composition to strengthen musical foundations.
