About Emily
I am a Piano tutor with 12 years of teaching experience, helping school students, college students, and working professionals achieve their musical goals. I believe that learning Piano should be enjoyable, inspiring, and accessible to everyone, regardless of age or experience.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, communication, and personalised instruction. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit individual needs and learning styles. Whether you are a beginner or an intermediate learner, I provide clear guidance and practical exercises to help you progress with confidence.
My lessons cover piano techniques, scales, chords, rhythm training, sight reading, ear training, music theory, improvisation, and performance preparation. I also help students build effective practice habits that encourage continuous improvement.
Apart from Piano, I teach keyboard skills, music reading, and foundational music theory. These subjects help students gain a deeper understanding of music and become more confident musicians.
I am passionate about helping students develop both technical skills and creativity. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated to learn, grow, and enjoy their musical journey.

My teaching methodology is built on communication, creativity, flexibility, and personalised learning. I believe every student has unique strengths and learns at a different pace. My role is to create lessons that are engaging, easy to understand, and focused on helping students achieve their musical goals with confidence.
I start by teaching the fundamentals of piano, including proper posture, hand position, finger coordination, rhythm, note reading, and basic music theory. These essential skills create a strong foundation before moving to scales, chords, arpeggios, dynamics, pedal techniques, sight reading, and expressive performance. Every lesson is carefully planned so students develop confidence step by step.
I use practical demonstrations, simple explanations, and interactive activities to make learning enjoyable. Students are encouraged to ask questions, think independently, and practise regularly. Continuous feedback and progress reviews help students improve consistently and stay motivated.
To develop creativity, I introduce music from different styles such as classical, pop, devotional, movie themes, and contemporary songs. Students also learn simple improvisation, accompaniment, and musical expression to become more confident performers.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, music theory, rhythm training, ear training, sight reading, music appreciation, and performance preparation. These additional subjects help students build complete musical knowledge.
My goal is to create enjoyable lessons that inspire confidence, creativity, discipline, and a lifelong love for piano and music.
