About Gabe

Hi, I’m Gabe Toth, founder of Gabe Toth Music Academy. I help piano students learn in a clear, practical, musical way so they can actually play music — not just stare at notes, memorize random exercises, or feel stuck at the keyboard. I have 30+ years of teaching experience, 87 five-star Google reviews, and a lifetime of real professional music experience as a teacher, performer, arranger, vocalist, pianist, guitarist, and music coach. My piano lessons are built around real progress and real music. I work with beginners, adult learners, returning students, intermediate players, singers who want to accompany themselves, songwriters, and students who want stronger reading, better chords, better rhythm, better technique, or more confidence. We can work on songs, chords, note reading, rhythm, timing, technique, ear training, music theory, improvisation, accompaniment, songwriting basics, singing while playing, and overall musicianship. One thing that makes my piano teaching different is that I do not separate the keyboard from the real world of music. I help students connect what they see, what they hear, and what they play. That means learning how music works, not just pushing keys. Some students want to read better. Some want to play by chord. Some want to accompany themselves while singing. Some want more freedom at the piano. Some just want to finally feel comfortable sitting down and playing real music. My teaching style is clear, patient, direct, musical, and results-focused. I meet students where they are, build a practical path forward, and help them grow step by step. If you want piano lessons that are organized, encouraging, musical, and built around real progress, I would be happy to help.

Every piano lesson starts with your real goal. Some students want to play songs. Some want to read music better. Some want to understand chords and harmony. Some want stronger technique. Some want to improvise. Some want to sing while playing. Some simply want to stop feeling lost at the keyboard. I build the lesson around your level, your goals, and the kind of music you actually want to play. For beginners, we can work on keyboard layout, hand position, rhythm, timing, note reading, simple chords, coordination, technique, and songs you can start using right away. For intermediate students, we can work on chord progressions, reading fluency, accompaniment patterns, technique, ear training, theory, phrasing, improvisation, songwriting, and stronger musical confidence. For students who want to sing while playing, I can help connect the piano and voice together naturally. That may include choosing better keys, simplifying accompaniment, building steady rhythm, improving coordination, and learning how to support the vocal without the piano getting in the way. For students who want practical piano skills, we can focus on chord-based playing, lead sheets, accompaniment, playing by ear, and understanding how harmony works in real songs. My lessons are structured, but they are not stiff. You will know what we are working on, why it matters, and how it applies to real music. A typical lesson may include warmups, rhythm work, note reading, chord study, technique, song work, ear training, theory, accompaniment, and a clear practice plan. My goal is simple: help you become a more confident, musical, and capable piano player.
