We have known David for several years now, and we must say that his passion for music and love for his students has never faltered. He is a great teacher, patient and knowledgeable both in classical and jazz piano music. David understands what his students need; however, he encourages them to go beyond their level, he challenges them if needed. He gladly shares his musical experiences, which helps us see the big picture of what preparing for this career means. We also appreciate that he is a very talented and hard-working accompanist for both my kids, one a string and the other a brass player, with many musical projects under their belts. David is a very gifted musician but also an excellent teacher. David is kind, friendly and patient with my 12 year old son Julian who recently started piano (a year an a half ago) helping him progress at the right pace without any pressure but support (Julian is preparing to write his level 4 RCM exam in few months). The piano lessons are very well structured with a right balance of technique, but also theory, musicality, effective practicing, and building repertoire. He is very punctual and has an accommodating schedule.

Also worth mentioning is that David is an amazing accompanist for my son's violin exams, his presence during the exams has helped Julian stay calm and perform at his best.

I would highly recommend him as a piano teacher.

As a relatively advanced student, I benefited from his ability to bring out multiple aspects of a piece of music to transform it from something ordinary to new heights of musicality.
