About Zarna
I hold a B.Mus in Classical and Jazz Piano Performance and have 12 years of experience teaching piano to learners of various ages and abilities. My approach focuses on balancing technical precision, musical interpretation, and expressive performance while fostering an engaging, supportive learning environment. Lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, strengths, and musical interests. I emphasize structured practice, technique development, sight-reading, repertoire mastery, improvisation, and performance preparation. I encourage students to explore creative expression, develop a personal style, and gain confidence in both practice and performance settings, ensuring holistic musical development. Outside teaching, I perform regularly, study diverse repertoire, and engage with both classical and contemporary musical works to enrich lessons. Witnessing students improve technically, expressively, and confidently is incredibly rewarding. I am committed to nurturing well-rounded pianists who are skilled, expressive, and motivated to continue their musical journey.

My piano lessons are carefully structured to develop technical mastery, musical understanding, and expressive capability. I cover finger independence, sight-reading, rhythm, phrasing, pedaling, dynamics, improvisation, and performance practice. Lessons are interactive, combining structured exercises, repertoire exploration, and creative activities to nurture both skill and artistic interpretation. I maintain a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, experiment musically, and gain confidence, ensuring a balance of technical growth and personal expression.
Beginners focus on foundational exercises, basic finger coordination, simple pieces, rhythm basics, and sight-reading fundamentals to establish a strong technical and musical foundation. Intermediate students expand into complex repertoire, advanced technique, expressive interpretation, improvisation, and more detailed rhythmic accuracy. Advanced learners refine performance techniques, interpretive skills, solo and ensemble practice, and stylistic expression to prepare for recitals, exams, or advanced musical projects. Every session integrates hands-on practice, feedback, and reflective discussion to reinforce learning and deepen understanding.
Piano lessons also cultivate discipline, creativity, and musical confidence. Students develop the ability to interpret pieces expressively, improvise with creativity, and perform with assurance. My aim is to guide learners in becoming proficient, expressive, and self-assured pianists capable of conveying emotion, technique, and artistry through every performance while enjoying the journey of music-making.
