About Delilah
I developed a love for the piano early, drawn to its expressive and emotional possibilities. This passion led me to pursue a B.A. in Music Performance, where I honed my technical skills, interpretive abilities, and performance expertise. Over 10 years of teaching, I have worked with learners of all ages and levels, helping them build foundational skills, artistic confidence, and a personal connection to music. My teaching style combines structure, patience, and encouragement, ensuring each student feels supported and motivated throughout their journey. I emphasise understanding why musical and technical decisions matter, enabling students to approach practice with insight and independence. Lessons combine demonstration, guided practice, and creative exploration to suit different learning styles. By celebrating progress and encouraging expressive experimentation, I help learners gain both technical mastery and artistic confidence. My approach is designed to foster joy, curiosity, and a deep sense of personal achievement. Outside teaching, I remain active in performance, composition, and musical study, constantly seeking new ideas and repertoire. This keeps lessons fresh and engaging, providing students with practical insight and inspiration. Teaching piano is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow in skill, artistry, and self-confidence, developing both a technical foundation and a lifelong love of music.
