About Reid
I am a piano tutor with 8 years of experience and a B.Mus in Piano Performance along with an M.Mus in Music Education. I specialize in developing technical skill, expressive interpretation, and performance readiness for students at all levels. I teach beginners to build foundational technique, intermediate students to refine musicality and sight-reading, and advanced learners to master performance and expressive repertoire. Lessons integrate technical exercises, repertoire study, improvisation, and performance coaching. Instruction is personalized to each learner’s needs and goals. Beginners focus on posture, fingering, and basic melodies. Intermediate learners refine technique, phrasing, and sight-reading. Advanced learners concentrate on repertoire mastery, improvisation, and performance preparation. Feedback is constructive, continuous, and supportive. Lessons balance technical skill, artistic expression, and musical enjoyment. Outside teaching, I perform, explore diverse repertoire, and mentor students in recitals and projects.
