About Katrina
I'm a current music student at California Institute of the Arts. I've been teaching piano and composition as a part time teacher for 2 years. Most of my students are children and beginners, and I mostly teach 1 on 1 class. I have a master certificate in Music Composition for Film &TV from Berklee College of Music.

I'd like to mix composition with piano teaching in my class. Rather than traditional teaching method, I'd like to teach kids how to play around with piano before getting into any score readings and theories. I usually start with interesting and easy topic like making a song using pentatonic scale, blues, tango, etc. In the meantime, I slowly introduce them to music theory and composition.
