About Rosalie
My journey with the piano began through a fascination with harmony, creativity, and musical storytelling. This interest led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a PhD in Piano Performance Education. Over the last 9 years, I have guided students through different stages of musical development.
I believe successful teaching requires patience, adaptability, and genuine encouragement. My teaching style focuses on helping students understand musical concepts while developing practical performance skills. I enjoy creating lessons that challenge learners while keeping them motivated.
Outside teaching, I spend time studying piano repertoire, exploring educational research, and attending performances. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas into my lessons. Helping students discover their abilities and achieve meaningful progress continues to inspire me as an educator.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build a complete musical foundation through practical learning and steady development. We work on rhythm accuracy, keyboard familiarity, finger agility, note recognition, hand coordination, and listening skills using structured exercises and engaging musical pieces. Every lesson is designed to make learning both productive and enjoyable.
As learners become more confident, we explore chord progressions, accompaniment patterns, interpretation techniques, dynamic control, sight reading development, pedal application, and performance readiness. Lessons are tailored to each student’s interests and goals, allowing them to progress in a meaningful way. Regular guidance helps students strengthen both confidence and musicianship.
I believe piano education should inspire curiosity and lifelong enjoyment of music. My goal is to help students become capable musicians who can learn, perform, and express themselves with confidence. Every lesson supports artistic growth and musical understanding.
