About Alex
My name is Alex and I am a recent graduate of the University of Chicago with a degree in Physics and minor in Statistics. As someone who had always struggled with maths in primary school, I strongly believe that the patient instruction targeted to my needs I received in secondary school was the key that allowed me to turn around my success in the subject. I went on to achieve an 'A*' at GCSE level as well as 'A's in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics at A-level, and was able to succeed in maths-heavy subjects at the undergraduate level. This drastic improvement in my own maths performance is why I am keen to tutor using methods that I know significantly contributed to it.

I have learnt first-hand the importance of engaging and supportive teaching in mathematics success. I bring this methodology of patient support to my teaching of maths to students at all levels up to GCSE. Lessons will typically last one hour, but length may be easily altered depending on specific topic requests by students.
