A Physicist with keen interest in science education. - Physics tutor with Monika

For the last 3 years I have worked alongside Monika during her role as Director of Curriculum at a series of residential programmes for 14-18 year olds from all over the world.

During this time, I have seen Monika deliver lectures to groups of over 120 students, lessons for small classes of 10, and direct individual support, along with organising syllabi for dozens of other classes, assessing and coaching other teachers to deliver excellent lessons.

Her academic qualifications make clear that she has an incredible grounding in the sciences, which is a key part of what makes her an excellent teacher, but beyond that I am struck by her ability to make strong relationships with individual students, due to her warm, approachable teaching style. She combines true expertise in her subject knowledge, with a real understanding of her students as young adults.
