About Monika
I graduated with a PhD in Physics and have changed my career path a couple of times. I was a lecturer at university, a science teacher in high school, a QA engineer and data analyst in the financial world. However, I have always been passionate about body movement and yoga is my favourite way to move my body. With yoga I can work on my body holistically, and also incorporate my mind. Yoga helps me to be more focused, balanced and relaxed.
I played the flute for 9 years and I took vocal training for 3 years - and it helped me to appreciate the role of breath and pranayama in yoga.
I would be happy to share all my experiences and my understanding of yoga with you.

I have practiced many different forms of yoga (eg.
Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Ashtanga) and I believe no form of yoga is specifically better than any other form of yoga. I think we should choose the type which we individually resonate with and feel serves us better.
Personally my favourite style is vinyasa because I feel a great flow and harmony with my breath during practice.
Nevertheless I like to combine different styles during my own practice, and during classes I teach and observe my students in order to see and understand what they need or enjoy more.
I like to pay attention to details but at the same time I don’t like correcting poses each and every second because it may kill the joy of practice. I don’t believe in a “perfect pose”. I believe that feeling our bodies and listening to them is the most important thing and the best way to practice any movement in our lives.
Additional I teach breathing techniques- pranayama and meditation. The proportion of these techniques in my classes depends on the individuals or group in my classes.
