About Theo
I am a Visual Artist and Instructor with more than 20 years of artistic practice and exhibitions in the UK, Europe and the US. Between 2011 and 2016 I was the founder and director of an art teaching studio in Athens, Greece where more than 100 students developed their skills in drawing and painting. Since moving to the UK I've been working as a digital and 3D artist as well as privately tutoring students of all levels in Art fundamentals, Life drawing, as well as Mentoring advanced and professional Artists.

I provide a personalised curriculum for each student I tutor depending on their needs and based on a first session assessment and look at their work.
A typical lesson lasts for one hour.
These lessons are aimed at adults and young adults of beginner to intermediate artist levels and cover the basics of:
A. Drawing: from proportion and measurements, to composition, form, line, tone and realistic rendering using pencil, charcoal and other drawing materials. Drawing exercises and exploring various subjects including observational drawing, drawing from imagination, still lives, landscapes, animals, life drawing and more.
B. Painting with brushes and colours: Intro to art materials like oil, acrylic and watercolour, painting surfaces and brushes, colour mixing and palettes, how to handle paint, drying and cleaning. Beginner-friendly techniques to produce good results without having mastered your medium. Intermediate techniques, historical painting styles and subject exploration. Colour Theory and tips and knowledge about paint and its uses.
