About Wendy
I believe you are born to be a teacher; it is not something you do but inherently who you are. I am one of those people. I have spent over 20 years in education advocating for literacy inside and outside schools. I want to take all the research and best practices I have learned and help students learn how to read. I connect with children naturally and know how to keep them engaged and provide a safe learning space while having them learn in a fun environment. I would love to work with your child!

Our English Language is complicated to learn. There is a proven method for teaching students letter(s) and sounds. It must be done sequentially so that students can apply their learned sounds to words, words to sentences, and sounds to print.
Students must decode (read) and encode (spell) at the same time. Phonics Heroes provides a highly engaging, safe space where students can navigate learning how to read based on the Science of Reading. The program is incredibly engaging and interactive, and students begin to love learning how to read and spell.
